I moved to Parker four years ago having lived in the City of Dallas since 2000. I grew tired of the overcrowded atmosphere, crime, and congestion that one endures living in a big city. I bought a 1.7-acre tract of land in the City of Parker to secure the sanctity of mental and emotional well-being. The added acreage provided zero traffic congestion and the added bonus of space for my beautiful rescue dogs to run. The City of Parker was my first choice for securing a “country feel” with the necessities of city-life nearby. This is what makes Parker a true diamond in the rough!
If elected, I will listen first and then move forward swiftly and ably to address your concerns and achieve your goals to sustain your way of life. I am known to be protective, communicative, and fearless. Vote for me on May 4, 2024 and let my 20+ years of trial experience to go to work for you. You can count on me!
The Parker City Council will be the last line of defense to fight against the Huffines 666 development that is wrong for our City! You need me on that front line.
The City of Parker is not the City of Dallas, nor do we strive to be. I will side with the citizens of this city and not side with the deep pockets of people like the Huffines that threaten to forever alter it. I will forward your collective goals to maintain the lifestyle that we have worked hard to develop and maintain. That lifestyle is what makes the City of Parker the best-hidden-gem in North Texas.
I would be honored to have your vote for an open seat on the Parker City Council on May 4, 2024.
The City of Parker needs someone like me on our city council in order to ensure that greedy, wealthy land developers do not turn the serenity of our country feel into a big city mess.
I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where my Dad was stationed at Kirkland Air Force Base. The last of eight children, I was still small when our parents left the military but remained in Albuquerque to raise me along with my three brothers and four sisters in a Christian home with Christian values. I was the only female in my immediate family to attend college and earn a double-major Bachelor of Science degree and eventually went on to earn a juris doctorate.
During college, I interned for a Court of Appeals Justice, and thus began my love for the law. I began as a paralegal for a large insurance firm but quickly realized I was under- challenged. I was admitted into the University of New Mexico School of Law but deferred that enrollment to garner some life experience outside of New Mexico. I worked for American Airlines which led me to Texas where I attended Texas A&M School of Law (formerly Texas Wesleyan) and was admitted to the practice of law in 2003.
I began my law career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Collin County District Attorney’s Office where I was one of the County’s top trial lawyers, prosecuting hardened criminals and keeping our community safe. I left the DA’s office in 2005 to open my own law firm, where I continue today to protect the Constitutional rights of individuals who face legal challenges that threaten their very freedom. In 2016 I began representing children in Child Protective Services cases and found that to be the most rewarding. I have represented both foster parents and members of a child’s own extended family who intervene into the legal process to adopt those children where the termination of parental rights is justified.
I thrive in an atmosphere of challenge to inform others of the issues that threaten another’s right to happiness, health, and future prosperity. In doing so I have been the voice for the under-represented achieving the best possible outcome for them to enjoy a successful way of life and future and I will do the same for us in the City of Parker where the Huffines 666 Development is concerned.
I have earned my own way in achieving the goals that I set for myself and for others. I am no stranger to long work hours and conflicting schedules having owned and operated my own successful law practice which predominantly serves Collin County since 2005. I am willing to put in the necessary time and effort that a city council position requires. My only motivation is to achieve the goals that others have entrusted me to achieve. I will do the same as a Parker City Councilmember. I have already given hours of my time to meet with the board members of the Communities and Creeks United, which is a collective group of Parker and Murphy city residents whose homes and peaceful way of life will be destroyed immediately if the Huffines should prevail.
Look for me soon in your neighborhood passing out written information so that Parker Citizens have an equal opportunity to learn about and weigh in on how this issue needs to be addressed and remedied.
